The new Express Entry program will help employers meet labour shortage on skilled positions when Canadians or permanent resident are not available to fill the positions. These changes to the economic immigration will benefit employers by:

• Linking LMIA and Job Bank will simplify employer´s LMIA advertising requirements
• Allowing for greater flexibility
• Eliminating backlogs and introducing 6 month or less processing times

The express entry program manages applications for permanent residence in certain economic programs including the Federal Skilled Worker Program, the Federal Skilled Trades Program, the Canadian Experience Class, and a portion of the Provincial Nominee Program.
